[TIME] Out with Arete on their usual Sunday social route. Nothing new, nothing fast, just their normal run at their normal pace.

[TIME] Pilates stretch-down in the park with Sharna Tate of Tate Pilates, who runs with Arete already.

[TIME] Coffee at Nothing Fancy, two minutes over the road from us. Maria and I will be there for an informal ask-us-anything – no pitch, just questions.

[TIME] Back to NuMi to collect your bits and pick up a proper snack before you head off.

Anyone who runs, or is thinking about starting. You don't need to be an Arete member and you don't need to be quick – the pace is social and the route is their standard Sunday one, so nobody gets dropped.

Runners tend to know their splits, their mileage and their heart rate, and almost nothing about what's actually holding it all up. Muscle mass, bone density, how efficiently you burn fuel – all of it shapes how you train, how you recover and how likely you are to end up injured. We measure it.
